Three old tool postcards oozing tool related history.
‘Examing Tools before dispatching at J G Graves Tool Factory, Sheffield’; what a lovely insight into how the tools left the factory front of house, postcard has no date.
‘Knife Grinders At Work, Sheffield’; postcard dated 1906, I very nearly kept this postcard, great image.
The final postcard is of a very old team of tradesmen with a number of the men holding their tools of the trade with some men holding saws and some holding hammers. There is no date on this postcard, I believe this postcard is pre-1900 (Victorian era).
